Chronic pelvic pain

Chronic pelvic pain is pain below the navel, between the hips and the pelvis, lasting six months or more.

Chronic pelvic pain is pain that occurs below the navel, between the hips and the pelvis, and may last six months or more.

Certain symptoms may be reported, such as:

This pain often comes from excessive tension in the pelvic muscles. When a muscle becomes hypertonic, its tone is high and we may not perceive it. With tone so increased, many people lose the ability to relax, so it is important to work on relaxing this musculature and later on strengthening it.

Part of our approach uses manual techniques on the abdomen and internally to release fascial tissue, which is like a sheet covering the muscles; when it adheres it creates tension and restriction. That is why it matters to mobilise and release it.

Internal and external radiofrequency helps improve the muscle’s blood supply, as well as collagen regeneration and elastin production, which are important components of these tissues; it also promotes relaxation.

Breathing exercises are a fundamental pillar to release abdominal fascia and the diaphragm.

Manual techniques such as trigger-point release internally aim to relax the muscle through digital pressure.

Neuromodulation acts on the nerves that control pelvic floor muscles and seeks to reset them so signals are adequate and pain sensations decrease.

There is no reason to keep living with pain; there is a solution. What matters is an assessment and, from there, a treatment plan to improve your symptoms.
